The Magic of Mom & Baby Yoga Online

The first few months postpartum are usually a blur. It's a huge learning curve about your body, your baby, and you exist on low-quality sleep and sweet newborn cuddles for weeks.

Then at around 3-4 months postpartum (different for every mom), you come out of a fog and start looking for activities you can do (for your baby) and with your baby, but more importantly - FOR YOU TO FILL UP YOUR MAMA CUP.

The first year of motherhood is draining the tank of gas. There is not much time for long showers, cleaning, blow-dried hair, dinner dates and feeling energetic and motivated to go into the day.

It's survival mode. Not to mention, it can be incredibly lonely.

Not surprisingly, this is where moms usually find my Mom & Baby Yoga classes online.

The beauty is my classes are LIVE + online. So moms can access them from home.

So no matter what sleep their baby had the night before, if they have an older toddler at home (and sick for the 10th time this year), or if their baby is napping and on the baby monitor - it all goes.

In just one hour, moms connect and share their struggles, triumphs, and ideas for finding balance.

Then they move their bodies in a class designed to target and strengthen the core in a safe + mindful way.

A big part of finding balance is staying in the present moment.

Focusing on the breath.

Moving the body.

And sharing small things that are going well.

After that one hour, moms feel a reset button has been hit.

As a mama (Melissa B.) shared with me:

"I enjoy the time at the beginning of each class when the Moms connect and chat about the weekly challenges and successes.

It makes me feel supported and not alone."

Showing up for ourselves as mothers with babies is HARD. It's really hard because we are dead last on the priority list.

We go about our lives putting our own health (whether it's pelvic floor health or mental and emotional health on the back burner).

No, I am not a therapist. I am a postpartum yoga specialist who reminds moms to schedule "little moments of self-care" throughout the day.

I also offer lots of modifications throughout the 60-minute Mom & Baby Yoga class, so you can meet your body where it's at:

"Hannah always offers various modifications so that the class can accommodate how your body feels on any given day, which is very helpful.

The series offers a wonderful opportunity to build physical and emotional strength in yourself, help you start to love your postpartum body and practice mindfulness in a tangible and meaningful way. It provides a beautiful opportunity to connect and bond with your baby.

I run Mom & Baby Yoga series (LIVE) over six weeks and give students handouts about each muscle group we are targeting. They include: the pelvic floor, the transverse abdominis, the obliques, the hip flexors, the glutes and the rectus abdominis (6-pack muscles).

These muscle groups are important for the core, not to mention the posture and to help with strength and stability for all the body demands of motherhood (HELLO, heavy car seats!).

Moms also love that they get to keep class recordings. So you can return to your favorite classes (+ songs we sing during class that your babies learn to LOVE). Singing helps with bonding + cognitive development for your baby.

My mom & baby yoga classes are a mix of benefits for babies + mamas (but mostly, it's about filling up mamas' cups).

"I am so thankful for Hannah and her virtual Mom and Baby Yoga series. I first found Hannah during my postpartum journey with my 2020 baby.

I have now resumed classes as I am in my second postpartum season (even though you will always be postpartum after having a baby)."

It's true, and we will always be postpartum. Having a baby CHANGES who we are as women. It changes our brains and what our body needs.

But it doesn't mean that we prioritize the relationship with our baby (and other children) over everything else.

True balance (and happiness) in motherhood has to do with prioritizing the relationship with yourself.

When we take care of ourselves, the benefits are felt by everyone.

Happy mom = happy baby (and everyone else).

I hope you take time to schedule in a 6-week series with me before your baby is a mover (crawling + walking).

My current and waitlisted series are here:

"I cannot say enough good things about Mom and Baby Yoga, myself and both of my babies LOVE it! I highly recommend Mom & Baby Yoga online with Hannah!" - Melissa B.

You are not alone (even though it feels like you are the only one dealing with your current situation). We were meant to have more support, love, connection and support during this period of vulnerability (but also strength).

You are stronger than you know + everything your baby needs. Sometimes we just need the reminder.

And a weekly reminder and activity that you can look forward to is perfect in the 1st year of your baby's life.

I cannot wait to connect with you, mama!
